Alice Marie Adamson 79; of Clarksville
Funeral services for Alice Marie Adamson, 79, of Clarksville, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15, at Coots Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Eastern Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at her home.
She was a native of Jeffersonville and a homemaker. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 35, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 1832 and Eagles Auxiliary, Post 1527. She was a former PTA president for Clarksville Community Schools.
Survivors include her companion, Matt Mathies, of Jeffersonville; daughter, Patricia Ann Hostettler and her companion, Garry Cummings, of Clarksville; sons, Jim Oliver and his wife, Gail, of Jeffersonville, William Adamson, of Sellersburg and Gary Adamson and his wife, Tracy, of Clarksville; sister-in-law, Betty Oliver, of Jeffersonville; seven grandchildren, Tasha Sexton, Trina Kinteh, Tiara Oliver, Allison Vanover, Amanda Lilly, James Oliver Jr. and Billy Isgrigg; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Adamson; and son, Rick Adamson.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the family, in care of Coots Funeral Home, 120 West Maple St., Jeffersonville, 47130.
