Bobbie G. Adamson, 83 years, of Bryan, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center, Bryan, Ohio. Bobbie was born July 6, 1933 in Goldsboro, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Aaron and Agnes (Herring) Wise. She was a 1951 graduate of Pikeville High School, Pikeville, North Carolina. She married Carl W. Adamson on August 4, 1951 in Pikeville, North Carolina, and he preceded her in death on July 13, 2003. Bobbie worked at Spangler Candy Company as a packer for 37 years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Bryan. Bobbie has a passion for reading, and she also enjoyed caring for the roses that she and Carl raised, as well as gardening. She treasured the time she spent with family, especially the family dinners.

Surviving are her three children, Pastor Carl (Peggy) Adamson of Brookhaven, Mississippi, Jean (Gary) Dyben of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Linda (Jerry) Fitzenrider of Montpelier, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Nathan Adamson, Jeremy (Ashley) Adamson, Micah (Brittney) Adamson, Chris (Amy) Moehlenkamp, Heather (Kevin) Ford, Jennifer Benner, Shane (Sarah) Fitzenrider and Dan (Ashley) Fitzenrider; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Billy Wise of Lake City, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl; one daughter, Sharon Adamson; one brother, David Wise and two sisters, Mildred Polter and Betty Daughtry.

Visitation for Bobbie G. Adamson will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home – Lynn Street Chapel, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Funeral services for Bobbie will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with her son, Pastor Carl Adamson and Pastor John MacFarlane officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery, rural Bryan. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
