A. Jeanne Adams, 87, died at The Palms of St. Lucie West. She was born in Mount Vernon, IL and lived in Hobe Sound for 36 years, coming from Fort Pierce.
She was a retired quality control inspector for Grumman Aircraft and a minister for Word Mission Church. She was owner and manager of the Word Mission Thrift Store in Stuart. She was a former member and past officer of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 248 in Fort Pierce.
Survivors include her daughters, Judith Wolgast, Lois A. King; sister, Rose Marie Daniels; brothers, Robert Stewart and Stanley Stewart; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Adams; sister, Marjorie Drew; brother, Paul Stewart; and granddaughter, Tanya Monsour Bullard.
Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice Inc., 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to noon July 17 at Forest Hills Young & Prill Chapel in Stuart with services beginning at noon with Chaplain Lynne Snow of Treasure Coast Hospice officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN. A guest book may be signed at youngandprill.com.
