Our beloved husband, father, grandpa and friend passed away peacefully on October 15, 2012. His beautiful daughter Jill reached gently through the veil to take him home on her birthday. After 38 long years, they are again reunited.

Dyle was born on September 11, 1923 in Cedar City, Utah to William Warren and Hattie Iona Peterson Adams. He was raised in Modena, Utah and graduated from Enterprise High School. He attended BAC for two years.

Dyle honorably served his country in the Navy during WWII. He received the Purple Heart for wounds he sustained while fighting in the Martial Islands.

He married his little sweetheart Laura Stubbs Adams on December 23, 1947 in Pioche, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple.

He is survived by his wife Laura Adams, children Jim (Marie) Adams and Kim(Jerilee) Adams, 8 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter Jill, his grandson Shawn, his brothers Tyven & Wesley, and three sisters: Elva, Macel and Mathel.

Dyle served as a Boy Scout leader for 25 years. He was loved by his scouts. He was also a Sunday School teacher.

Dyle worked for Utah Construction at the Iron Mines west of Cedar City for over 30 years. He also worked as an employee for Parowan City for over 20 years, retiring at the age of 85.

To his family Dyle Adams was a perfect example of Christlike love and service to others. Along his earthly path he literally became the Good Samaritan, helping, blessing and serving all, especially those less fortunate than he. He never met a stranger; he was a friend to all.

A quote from Gandhi describes our dad: "MY LIFE IS MY STATEMENT." We love you forever, dad.

We would like to express our most sincere, heartfelt thanks to all employees at the Iron County Nursing Home who lovingly took care of our father in his final days. We love and appreciate you more than words can say. Also a special thank you to Hospice for your care of our father as well.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Parowan 1st Ward Chapel (87 West Center) in Parowan, Utah. Visitations will be held Friday, October 19, 2012 from 6-8:00 pm and Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 11:30 am-12:30 pm at the church. Interment will be in the Parowan City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
