Mrs. Esther M. Adams of Matamoras, PA and a longtime resident of the area died Friday, March 27, 2009 at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center in Scranton, PA. She was 83.

She was born August 21, 1925 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of the late Oras and Emma Bell Decker.

Esther married her high school sweet heart Wilton B. Adams who died May 11, 1991. Together they made their home in Matamoras, PA for over 60 years. Esther enjoyed being active in the Pike County Day celebrations, Keystone Club and enjoyed her work at the Honey Bee in Milford, PA prior to her retirement. She was a Methodist by faith and a member of the Matamoras United Methodist Church.

Surviving are niece, Frances Marie Moore and her husband, Paul of Jacksonville, FL; niece, Linda Gonzalez and her husband, George of Jacksonville, FL; great-niece, Kimberly Gonzalez of Jacksonville, FL; aunt, Irene Lehman of Matamoras, PA; cousin, Muriel Gargano of Matamoras, PA. She was predeceased by her sister, Marion Frances Decker Case; brother-in-Law, Charles Jacob Case.

Burial at Pine Grove Cemetery, Matamoras, PA.
