Gary Lee Adams, 54, of Kansas City, MO, died Sunday, March 22, 2015, at this home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born January 12, 1961, in Marceline, MO, Gary was the son of Walter Paul Adams who survives of Marshall and Mary Margaret Ratliff Adams who survives of Independence, MO. On February 14, 1983, he married Kelly Mitchell who survives. He lived in the Kansas City area most of his life and worked for many years as a truck mechanic.
In addition to his father, mother and wife, Gary is survived by eight children: Amber Dizmang and husband, Hasan, of Kansas City, MO, Michelle Adams of Kansas City, MO, Michael Adams of Seattle, WA, Drew Adams of Woodstock, GA, Brittany Adams of Charlotte, NC, Mitchell Adams of Columbia, SC, Morgan Adams of Independence, MO and William Adams of Independence, MO; nine grandchildren; one brother, Walter Eugene Adams of Excelsior Springs, MO; one sister, Mary Loretta Beckford of Independence, MO; several nieces and nephews; and stepmother, Shirley Adams of Marshall.
Gary was preceded in death by one grandson, Hasan Willard Dizmang Jr.
