One of three children, he was born September 17, 1952 in Connersville, the son of Birna P. and Neda Fay Maple Adams. He battled cerebral palsy throughout the entirety of his life.
His family were members of the Columbia United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Jeffery P. Adams of Hamilton, Ohio, an aunt, Elizabeth Hignite of Greenfield, Indiana, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Birna, who died June 14, 2012, his mother, Neda Faye, who passed January 19, 1996, his step-mother, Norma Jean Adams, who died March 1, 2009, and a stillborn sister, Teresa Sylvia Adams, who passed May 31, 1951.
