Ashley Almon Adams, 67, of Woodbridge died Monday, Sept 2, 1996, at Fairfax Hospital. He retired after 29 years of service with the Army as a chief warrant officer and worked for over 18 years with the Department of State. He was a member of the Greensboro NC Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Adams; two sons, Henry Adams of Atlanta and David Adams of Cincinnati OH; his step-children, Linda-Lee Brown of Savannah GA; Tonya Howdyshell of Woodbridge, Rhonda Elsmore of Dale City, and Jeffrey Elsmore of Burke; five granddaughters; three sisters, Patsy Bolt of Durham NC, Mable Tadlock of Roseboro NC, Flora Bass of Clinton NC; three brothers, Joseph Adams of Minneapolis Minn, and Kirtz and Nathan Adam, both of Clinton NC. Graveside services will take place Wednesday at 9 a, at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors. The funeral processions will depart at 7:15 am from Mountcastle Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in memory of Ashley Almon Adams.
