EDWARD ADAMS, AGE 83, DIES
Funeral Services to be Held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Foster's.
Edward A. Adams, 83, died at 8 a.m. today at his home on east Second street. Death was caused by a heart attack. He had been ill several years.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster funeral home, with the Rev. Dow Crewdson, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be made in Graceland cemetery.
He was born May 15, 1859, in Topeka, Kan., and came to Iowa with his parents when a boy, locating on a farm near Tama. Later they moved to Blairsburg and in 1900 he was married to Mary Ellen Hall, of this city.
His wife died in 1905. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, three brothers and four sisters.
He was a teamster and stone mason by trade.
He leaves three children, Percy, Alfred and Mrs. George Johnson, of this city; 15 grandchildren, one great grandchild and a brother, Frank, who lives in California.
