LODI, June 11 - Mrs. Florence L. Adams, pioneer Lodi area resident, died last night in a local hospital after suffering a stroke a few hours earlier in her home, 213 W. Oak. Mrs. Adams and her husband, the late William Henry Adams, settled north of Lodi approximately 70 years ago and ranched on Peltier Road. She was a native of Iowa. She lived on the ranch for more than 60 years but moved into town 11 years ago. Her husband died in 1929. She was a member of the First Christian Church and of the Lodi Woman's Club. She is survived by four children, Leon and Harold, both of Lodi; Mrs. Violet Whitehead and Mrs. Norma Barnes, both of Stockton; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Raymond and Dr. Elliott L. Adams. Final rites are pending in Hale and Bawden Funeral Home.
