-------------
Lydia Robbins, wife of Timothy Adams, was the daughter of Zachariah Robbins. There are conflicting secondary sources since there were two Lydia Robbins who lived in Westford and were 1st cousins of similar ages. Lydia Adams died in 1825 at the age of 65, which is confirmed by her death record and headstone. Zachariah's daughter Lydia was born in 1760. Jacob and Zachariah were brothers. Jacob's daughter Lydia was born in 1757. She married William Blaisdell in Westford. History of Westford, p. 475 correctly states these facts. Looking at both families more broadly, we can see a pattern that Zachariah's daughters married men from Littleton and established families there. So, when Zachariah died in 1773 his younger daughter Lydia would have found it natural to visit with her older sisters in Littleton. There, she got pregnant and married Timothy Adams. Their first child was born 6 months later. Meanwhile, Jacob Robbin's daughters married two brothers William and Henry Blaisdell from Chelmsford. His sons married in Westford and moved to Boston and Vermont. None of Jacob's children had any known connection to Littleton.
