LaVetta was born June 3, 1942, to J.L. and Buelah (Weatherbee) Webb in Graham, Texas. She was a bookkeeper at Gandy Dairy for many years. She married Wayne J. Adams on Feb. 1, 1963, in Wichita Falls, Texas. They moved to San Angelo in 1973, and have lived here with their four children ever since. She was a caring and loving wife and mother. She will be greatly missed. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers and support in many heart-felt expressions from too many people to name individually, family and friends either through prayer and/or visits. A special thank you to Dr. Anderton, Birdie Chappell, Michael Perales of Meadowcreek for the kind and gentle care shown to our mother.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Pat Webb; and sister Ann Austin. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Wayne J. Adams; sons Clayton Adams, Clinton Adams, and Cory Adams and wife Amanda; daughter Shawn Adams Gonzales and husband Robert; grandsons Robert Gonzales Jr., Carson Adams and Joseph Roland, and granddaughter Jayme Gonzales, all of San Angelo; niece Debbie Spears and husband Charles of Huntington, W.Va.; and nephew Robert Austin and wife Liz of Daytona, Fla. LaVetta's obituary and memorial guestbook may be viewed online at www.robertmassie.com.

She is Gone You can shed tears that she is gone Or you can smile because she has lived You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left Your heart can be empty because you can't see her Or you can be full of the love that you shared You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday You can remember her and only that she is gone Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
