Mrs Claude (Mary Adams) Bowers, 70 of Gonzales died in a Gonzales hospital Monday morning.
Services will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. from Siedler Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Denton Creek Cemetery near Gonzales.
Mrs Bowers is survived by her husband, Claude Bowers, two daughters; Mrs. Jean Dreyer of Gonzales and Mrs. Homer (Edna) Ellison of Cuero; one son, Earl Bowers of Austin, five sisters, Mrs. Annie Lepori, Mrs. Oma Kennedy, Mrs. Hallie Dubose and Mrs. Frances Richardson, all of Gonzales and Mrs. Alice Mae Kennedy of Con Can, Texas; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services For Mrs. C. Bowers Set Wednesday
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Seydler-Hill chapel for Mrs. Claude (Mary Adams) Bowers, who died in the Holmes Community Hospital Monday at 3:25 a.m.
The Rev. Victor Edge, pastor of the Eastside Baptist church, will conduct the services and will be assisted by the Rev Claude F. O'Neall. Burial will be in the Denton Creek cemetery.
Mrs. Bowers was born in the Daturn Community on December 18, 1903, the daughter of Raleigh and Susie Sweeney Adams. She was married to Claude Bowers on December 22, 1921, and at the time of death, was living in Gonzales on Route 1. She was a charter member of the Eastside Baptist church.
Surviving her are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Jane (Barbara) Dreyer of Gonzales; Mrs. Homer (Edna) Ellison of Cuero; one son, Earl Bowers of Austin; 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Annie LePori, Mrs. Oma Kennedy, Mrs. Hollie DuBose, Mrs. Frances Richardson, all of Gonzales; and Mrs. Alice Mae Kennedy of Concan. One child died in infancy.
