CHESTER - Mrs. Linda Lee Adams Kinsey, 67, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at the First Freewill Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Sanders and the Rev. Melvin Pressley officiating. The interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Barron Funeral Home.
Born Feb. 21, 1943, in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mrs. Kinsey was a daughter of the late James E. and Elsie Skoog Adams. She attended the schools of Jonesville, S.C., and was retired from Springs Industries as a weaver and was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Wilfred Neil Kinsey of Chester; one daughter, Gail Hendrix and her husband, Eddie, of Chester; three grandchildren, Wendy Southworth, Michael Bates and Shawn Bates, all of Chester; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Rwin, Adam, Cassie and Jacob; three brothers, Richard Adams and his wife, Shirley, of Jonesville, S.C.; Talmadge Adams and his wife, Debra, of Union, S.C., and Michael Adams and his wife, Beth, of Jonesville; three sister, Jenny Adams and Deborah Crisp, both of Jonesville and Lois Garner and her husband, Ned, of Union. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred F. "Buck" Kinsey and a brother, Oscar Adams.
