Matilda E Adams was born Dec. 31, 1835 at Bethlehem, PA to Peter Adams and Susanna Beidleman. Her mother died at Clinton County, PA after 1870.

Matilda was married to Jared Klapp.

Matilda died on Aug. 11, 1915 at Lock Haven, PA. She was 79 years old, widowed, and lived at 28 N. Fairview St. Matilda was buried at the Dunnstown Cemetery on Aug. 13th.

Klapp – Mrs. Matilda E Klapp, widow of the late Jared Klapp, died at her late home, 28 S. Fairview street, at 8 o’clock Wednesday morning of a complication of diseases. She had been in ill health for over a year. She was nearly 80 years old.
Deceased was a charter member of the St. John’s Lutheran church and was always a faithful attendant, until her health failed.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter, as follows: William H. of this city; Elmer A. and Wilmer G, of New York City; Miss Pearl, at home. Also, one sister, Mrs. S. A. Kelchner, of Chilliti, W. Va.
Funeral services will be held at the house Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock by Rev. Charles N. Shindler. Interment in Dunnstown cemetery.
