Rebecca "Becky" Adams was born October 1, 1936 in Putnam County, Georgia the daughter of the late C.D."Turk" Seymour and the late Julia Carter Seymour. She was united in marriage to Jerome "Dizzy" Adams, Sr. on December 22, 1954. They were married for 58 years and had two children. Rebecca attended Putnam County Schools and West Georgia College. She worked as a receptionist at the Jordan Hospital in Eatonton with Dr. Sanchez and Dr. Jordan for several years before giving them up to become a full time mother and housewife. She later became a business partner with her husband owning and operating Farmers Hardware in Eatonton and later Adams Well and Plumbing. She was a member of Eatonton First Baptist Church.
Her favorite pastime was loving and spending time with her family, husband, children, grand children and great grands. She enjoyed playing the organ, and cooking new and exciting gourmet foods. She collected cookbooks and watching the food and cooking channels. She also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include her husband Jerome "Dizzy" Adams, Sr. of Eatonton, Daughter Julie (Bill) Harper of Eatonton, Son Dean (Corine) Adams, Jr. of Eatonton, Grandchildren Lynn (Tony) Grant, Clark (Mandy) Harper, Clyde (Tracy) Harper, Crystal (Chuckie) Mitchell, Great Grandchildren Will Harper, Walt Harper, Harrison Harper, and Hayden Harper.
