Charles Perry Adams, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away August 12, 2008. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Collene Moseley Adams; their daughters, Beth Adams of New Orleans and Charla Adams of Indianapolis, and his brother Robert Adams (Evelyn) of Roanoke, VA. He cherished time with his family. He is predeceased by his parents, Frank and Grace Adams and his brother Kenneth. A native of Laurens, South Carolina, Charles served in the United States Navy. Charles retired as a Project Manager from Huber, Hunt & Nichols after a 33 year career. His career in construction extended over 40 years, moving Charles and his family to nine states and to many cities. He has been a resident of Indianapolis for 30 continuous years, forming many lasting friendships along the way. In retirement, Charles exercised his passion for golf playing the public courses of the City regularly as a member of SAHM Senior League. Along with his wife, he was a member of Castleton United Methodist Church. He appreciated the prayers and support of the ministers and members of the congregation, including the Variety Bunch during his recent illness.
Services entrusted to Shirley Brothers Mortuaries of Indianapolis, and Miles Funeral Home in Hazelhurst, Georgia.
