G.A.(A.J.) Adams, Andalusia, Route 2, died at his home near Antioch Saturday morning at 8:15 o'clock following a short illness.

Mr. Adams was born and reared within one mile of the place of death. He was one of the largest land owners and farmers of this county.

He is survived by a wife; nine sons, T.J., R.D., M.A., J.V., Charlie, G.A.(A.J.), Jr., O.C., Hollis, of Andalusia, Route 2 and Edward of Auburn; five daughters, Mrs. Ray Pickens, Castleberry; Mrs. Velma Boyett, Baker, Fla.; Misses Ruby, Mary Eleanor and Marie, Andalusia Route 2. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Andrew Adams, Route 2; three brothers, G.B., Route 2; E.Y. Adams, Birmingham; M.J. Adams, Opp; one sister, Mrs. W.S. Howell, of Castleberry. All attended the funeral except E.Y. Adams who was in Dallas, Texas at the time.

Funeral services were held from Antioch church Sunday afternoon at three o'clock, Rev. Tillman, pastor of Antioch church officiating. The deceased being a Mason, members of
his lodge took charge after the services. Pall Bearers were T.R. Hartley, C.B. Croft, J.T. Harris, D.B. Gantt, F.R. Colvin and W.A. Pugh. Five lodges were represented.
Friends from Birmingham, Castleberry and Samson were among the throngs who attended the funeral.
