Birth: Sep. 13, 1929
Death: Jan. 17, 2004

OBITUARY: Adams, Jack W. Peacefully passed away at Columbia-St. Mary's Hospice in Milwaukee, on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at the age of 74. Jack was born September 13, 1929 in Milwaukee. He married the love of his life, Margaret Mary "Mickey" Genske on June 1, 1949. Together with faith they unselfishly raised their 15 children with strong values and family traditions, during which time they moved to Brookfield. After 40 years of a strong work ethic at Wisconsin Bell (SBC), in 1986, they fulfilled their dreams, retired and moved to the northwoods on Little St. Germain Lake. Jack was an extraordinary man with a courageous spirit, always putting his family first. Throughout his life, he was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed camping, golf, fishing and other outdoor activities with his family. Continuing graciously, he was a dedicated member of the Telephone Company Pioneers, volunteering his time for over 50 years. Recently, he was honored by the River Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for providing northwoods residents with Emergency Response Systems. He was a distinguished member of the Knights of Columbus. We will miss him forever but know he will always live within our hearts. He was preceded in death by his wife and best friend of 52 years, Mickey and their beloved son, Paul. Survivors include daughters: Margaret (Bill) Solberg, Susan (Steve) Haas, Barbara (Scott) Blaeske, Mary Jo (Scott) Smith, Nancy (Bryce) Bird, Ann (Jeff) Miller, Kathy (Todd) Peschke, Jane (Dave) Gross; sons: John (Sally), Joe (Jane), Tom (Nancy), Tim (Mary), Peter (Jalane), Patrick (Kris); sisters: Audrey (Joe) Keppert, Doris (Walter) Schmidt; brother: Jerome (Chris); 39 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Memorial Prayer Service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2004 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 12130 W. Center Street, Wauwatosa, WI 53222, at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at church 1 hour prior to services with fellowship in the church hall to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to St. Mary's Catholic Church building fund in Saynor, WI. Rev. Jerome M. Hudziak officiating. Interment will take place in St. Germain at a later date.
