Obituary Salt Lake City, Utah
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Virginia Weilenmann Anderson, died at the age of sixty-nine on September 10, 1990 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She resided at 2862 East 3335 South in East Millcreek, Utah at the time of her death.
Virginia was born January 18, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Gustaf and Louise Huber Weilenmann.

She married Aldon Jr. Anderson on November 5, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was the mother of seven children, and grandmother of fifteen.

Mrs. Anderson was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served faithfully in many positions with the Church, as member of the Primary General Board, as President of her Ward Relief Society and Primary organizations, and in several other capacities.
Virginia was a superb teacher, devoted to her students. For sixteen years she worked with handicapped children of the Granite School District, at Hartvigsen School and elsewhere, teaching speach therapy and rehabilitation. She retired in 1985. Virginia was also gifted in the dramatic arts, starring in many theatrical productions and teaching dramatic readings, voice and diction to hundreds of students throughout her lifetime.

She had an abiding love of learning and excelled as a student. Virginia graduated from South High School and from the University of Utah where she was a class officer and student body vice-president. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, Mortar Board, Cwean, and Phi Kappa Phi Honorary Societies, and the University Debate Team. In 1977, she received a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology. Virginia touched the lives of all she met. To know her was to love her.

She is survived by her husband, Aldon J. Anderson, a United States District Judge, her six sons and one daughter: Jeffrey (Kathleen); Scott (Jesselie); Craig (Joan); Chris (Alison); Kevin (Julie); Becky; and Douglas (Lisa). Virginia is also survived by a loving brother and sister, Milton L. Weilenmann, and, Elaine W. Bennion, both of Salt Lake City.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 13, 1990 at 12:00 p.m. in the East Millcreek Eleventh Ward Chapel, 2702 Evergreen Avenue (intersection of 2700 E. and Evergreen Avenue). Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the Church on Thursday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
