Mrs. Lew Ellan Maurine Adams, age 97 of Ingram, TX passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 in a Kerrville care center. She was born September 18, 1915 in Junction, TX to Arlie John and Pearl E. Herring Howard.
She was a member of Sunset Baptist Church and lived most of her life in Marfa, TX where she owned and operated a Western Auto Store for 20 years. After working at the store, she worked for the Marfa newspaper. She was very smart and loving and was known best as "Mama Renie".
She married Stanley James Adams on April 14, 1934 in Junction, TX. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Winona Rhea.
Survivors include a daughter, Stanice (Sandy) Nichols; grandsons, Jimmy Nichols and wife, Lisa and Johnny Nichols and wife, Susie; great grandchildren, Adam, Chance, Lyndsie and Ben and eight great great grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mrs. Adams will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery with Dwayne Smith officiating.
Pallbearers will be, Jimmy, Johnny, Adam, Lyndsie, Chance & Ben Nichols.
