Services for Bryant Lee Adams, 52, of Natchez who died Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Natchez will be at 11:00 AM Monday, June 17 at St. Mary Basilica with Father David O'Connor officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday, June 16, and from 10:00 AM until service time Monday, June 17, all at St. Mary Basilica.
Bryant was born April 2, 1961 in Centreville, MS the son of Edward Greney Adams and Barbara Ann LaFort Adams.
He was employed with Family Security Life Insurance Company for 27 years and was raised a Catholic. Bryant's main passion was helping others, and his biggest talent was the gift of gab. He was more than willing to help anyone who needed him and was always the first one there. Most of all, he enjoyed working with the young boys in the Natchez Dixie Youth Baseball League and was a commissioner for 22 years. Among Bryant's other numerous civic and charitable contributions were being public relations officer for the Adams County Sheriff's Office, E911 Chairman for 10 years, public relations for the District Attorney's office, very involved in Adams County Sheriff's Rodeo, Neighborhood Watch Program, Support and Communication Equipment manager for Adams County Search and Rescue, and was County Representative of the Core Group of the County Emergency Planning Committee.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Adams.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 32 years, Terri Adams; four sons, Joshua Adams, Lance Adams, Dustin Adams, and Corey Adams, all of Natchez, his mother, Barbara Adams; one sister, Linda Adams; three brothers, Brett Adams, Steve Adams, and Justin Adams, all of Natchez. Very special friends are Danny Barber, Rodney Holder, and Michael Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Bryant, Conrad Anderson, Michael Anderson, Barry Gunter, Ronnie Adams, and Darryl Grennell
Memorials may be made to Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children in Jackson, MS or the charity of your choice.
