Arlin Henry Adams II, 49, of Otterville, died (suddenly)Sept. 3, 2004, at his home. He was born May 13, 1955, in Marshfield, WI, a son of Arlin Henry and Ruth G. (Rothlesberger) Adams. On June 5, 1999, in Fairfax, VA, he was married to Sharon Beardsley Gerald, who survives of the home.
Mr. Adams was a member of Tipton First Assembly of God Church.
He was an election volunteer coordinator in Missouri for the National Rifle Association. He was the Anglican Pinglist administrator at www.FreeRepublic.com.
He was a retired, disabled veteran of the U.S. Army, serving seven years, and the U.S. Civil Service, serving for a number of years. He was a member of American Legion Post 84 in Otterville, where he was vice commander and sergeant-at-arms.
He earned a bachelors of science degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master of education degree from Marymount University in Arlington, VA.
Survivors also include a stepson, Benjamin Gerald, of Atlanta, GA; a stepdaughter, Hannah Renee Gerald, of Washington, D.C.; his mother, Ruth G. Adams, of Grafton, WI; two sisters, Pat Michael, of Otterville, and Melanie Erdman, of Janesville, WI; and two brothers, Arthur Adams, of Mission Viejo, CA, and John Adams, of Chillicothe, OH.
He was predeceased by his father; and a brother, Alfred Adams.
Friends may call Wednesday at the Heckart/Gillespie Funeral Home. Funeral services are Thursday at the Tipton First Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Donald Schutte officiating. Burial in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591.
Pallbearers are Benjamin Gerald, Terry Wassam, James Albin, Mike Kelley and Dan Moss.
Honorary pallbearers are Harry Wallenburn, Jesse Taylor, John Evans, Robert Werner, J.L. McDaniel, Russell Hogan, Guss Marcum, Jack Potter and Ken Kempfer.
