Harry Adams Dies Suddenly

Harry Adams was born August 11, 1910 in Mokane, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Adams. He passed away at 10:00 o'clock Sunday evening, May 23, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City. He had been ill for a week but became seriously ill and was taken to the hospital on Sunday morning.
He was united in marriage with Miss Elma Magruder of Portland on December 22, 1936.
He is survived by his parents, his wife and five children, Ronald Wayne, Martha June, Peggy Sue, Edward Latron and Euphema Mae. He also leaves to mourn his passing the following brothers and sisters: Clyde Adams of Jefferson City; Paul, Ray and Ed Adams of Mokane; Mrs. Virgie Reichert of Pine Lawn, Mo.; Mrs. Bernice Dillon of Steedman; Mrs. Mary Love and Mrs. Ola Matteson of Mokane.
The death of this young man marks the first death in the George Adams family of nine children.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Mokane Christian church. The church pastor, Dr. Ira E. Adams, of Fulton, officiated, assisted by Rev. Elmer Reichert of Pine Lawn, and burial was in the Mokane cemetery.
The deceased had spent his life in this community and had been employed on the section force of the M. K. & T. Railroad. He had a host of relatives and friends, who join with The Missourian staff in extending heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
