Glenda Vee Adams, 9, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah C. Adams of Sikes, died Friday, July 5, 1944 at the Charity Hospital of New Orleans with bronchial pneumonia, while waiting for an operation for tumor on the brain.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 3:30 o'clock at Hurricane Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Bernice Dyess in charge of the services. Arrangements were under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Crosby Adams, Jr., Bennie Willis, Elmo Kidd, and LeMoor Willis.

Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. C. Adams; five sisters, Mrs. Lucille Walker, Mrs. Myrtle Crain, Misses Vera Faye and Norma Sue Adams of Sikes, and Mrs. Velda Mae Woods of Winnfield. She also leaves her grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. J. B. Adams and Mrs. Emma Willis of Sikes.
