Funeral services for Dorothy Adams will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2000 in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel, Winnfield, with Revs. Bill Moore and Kevin Womack officiating. Burial will be in the Sikes Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Homer.
Mrs. Adams, age 88 of Sikes, LA died Monday, October 9, 2000 in her residence. She was a native of Jackson Parish, LA, a homemaker and a member of Hurricane Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors are one son, Darwin Woods of Penn Valley, CA; two daughters, Mary Lea Carpenter of Dodson, LA and Ellen Ruth Butler of Arcadia, LA; two stepdaughters, Hazel Melton of Winnfield, LA and Annie Belle Walker of Minden, LA; seven grandchildren, Laura, Christina, Adam, Jimmy, Emily, Bob and Mark; seven great grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are: Adam Carpenter, Jimmy Butler, Bob Woods, Mark Woods, Kevin Womack and Harry Baldridge.
Honorary Pallbearer is Dylan Womack.
