He left his wife of 33 years, Ryan (Schmiesing) Adams; three sons, Michael Adams of London, Anthony Adams of Washington, D.C., and Joshua Adams of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; his father and stepmother, Bertis and Barbara Adams of Westboro; his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Edward Warren of East Dennis, Mass.; a sister, Barrie Montross of Red Hook, N.Y. He was born in Newport, R.I., and grew up in Westboro. He attended Westboro High School, and received his bachelor's degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass., in 1966. He received his master's degree from Northeastern University in Boston in 1974.
Mr. Adams was power supply manager at Electricities of North Carolina for the past five years. He was previously involved with a variety of energy-related projects in New England and California, and was a registered professional engineer in five New England states.
A private graveside service was held Saturday, May 13, in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westboro.
