Norman L. Adams of Denton died of heart failure Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1997, in Caroline Nursing Home. He was 78.
Mr. Adams was the son of the late Francis "Frank" Edward Adams and Narcissa Lee Neighbors Adams.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Adams had lived in Caroline County all his life and was a self- employed farmer. He was a member of the Caroline American Legion Post 29 in Denton.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marjorie Elizabeth Haines, in 1984; and a brother, Edward Liden Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie B. Adams of Denton; a son, Norman Wayne Adams of Denton; two daughters, L. Diane Remertson of Springfield, Va., and Janet Lee Adams of Easton; two brothers, George "Jack" P. Adams and William Paul Adams, both of Denton; five sisters, Virginia Miller and Louise Horney, both of Denton, Bessie Todd of Jefferson, Audrey McMahan of Federalsburg and Evelyn Danley of Skellytown, Texas; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Moore Funeral Home, where friends may call from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Friday.
Burial will be in Denton Cemetery.
