3 Teens
By Fumes

SALT LAKE CITY (UPI) - Three Murray teen-agers were found dead early today of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning.

Salt Lake County Sheriff's deputies said the three girls were found in a car just below the Spruces Campground. The engine was racing, leading investigators to theorize the girls had become drowsy from the fumes and pulled off the road. Apparently as the driver became more relaxed under the influence of the fumes, her foot depressed the accelerator pedal, speeding up the entrance of the carbon monoxide into the closed car.

The victims were identified as Jerolyn Adams, Jana Michelle Kim and Terri Mackay, all 19.
