She was a graduate of North Alabama University, an accomplished seamstress, embroiderer, and home decorator, and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an active member of Middletown United Methodist Church and a former member of Southeast Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Lester I. Adams, her son, Steven W. Adams, and her parents Edna and James Worthington.
She is survived by her son, Lester I. Adams Jr. (Jennifer), daughter Lisa A. Saylor (Barry), brothers James A. Worthington and William B. Worthington, D.M.D., grandchildren Lindsay S. Raia (Bobby), Christopher Saylor, Zoe Adams and Andrew Adams, and great-grandson Cruz Robert Raia.
A celebration of her life will be held at noon on Monday, November 10, 2014, at Middletown United Methodist Church, 11902 Old Shelbyville Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
