He was a resident of East Baton Rouge Parish all of his life. He was called home to rest on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the Baton Rouge General Butterfly Unit. All his life, he always had a love for the elderly. He often went out of his way to be of assistance to them as if bound by a higher calling. Larry is survived by his mother, Mary Alice Smith, sister, Kathy Ann Jones, nephews, Charlton Shelton and Samuel Gaylor, an auntie, Mrs. Bernice B. Johnson, whom he affectionately referred to as "Madear," an uncle, Reverend Henry Blunt (Clarissa Blunt), and a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visiting at Hall's Celebration Center, 9348 Scenic Highway, on Friday, May 11, from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Interment in Roselawn Cemetery, 4045 North St. www.hallsinc.net.
