He was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Madison County, GA, son of the late John Will & Blonnie Whitlock Adams. He was educated in the Georgia schools, and retired from Cannon Mills Plant 4 in 2000, following 30 years of service. He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Mae Cavin Adams, on April 23, 2008.
He is survived by stepson, Troy Harwell, Kannapolis; stepdaughter Mildred Hunter, China Grove; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis; Rev. James Pauley presided.
