Mary Pauline Rhodes Adams, 86, of Marlin, entered into rest on Friday, Oct. 7, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Phillips and the Rev. L.B. Perry officiating. Burial will be at Thornton Cemetery, Thornton, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday at Adams Funeral Home.

Pauline was born in Thornton, Texas, to the late Ross I. and Fannie Susan (Meador) Rhodes. In her younger years, she was an accomplished vegetable gardener, worked cows and farmed with her husband, Raymond. Her favorite pastime was sewing for her family and friends. She was a devoted homemaker, a member of the Baptist faith and a lifelong resident of the Marlin area.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in 1994; a daughter, Gloria Diver in 1992; granddaughter, Delores Medve, in 1992; and a brother, Pete Rhodes in 1994.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Lou Gross and Shirley Horton, both of Marlin; grandchildren, David Woodrow Diver, Paula Hendrickson, Lori Tate and Kristi Rosas; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Zurline Andrews, of Groesbeck.
