John Lewis Adams, 76, rural route 5, died at the city hospital at 4:07 a.m. today after several months illness with diabetes.
Surviving are three sons, Burt, Joe and Jesse; two daughters, Mrs. Albert Groce, and Mrs. Luther Hyde; one brother, Will Adams, and one sister, Mrs. J. L. Dowden, all of this county.
The body was removed to the Weir Funeral Home.
Funeral services for John L. Adams will be held on Saturday at 2:00 o'clock from the Clear Creek church in charge of the Rev. H. T. Bridwell. The body will lie in state at the Weir Funeral Home until Saturday noon where friends may call.
Active pall-bearers are Lloyd, Raymond, Russell Groce, Edgar Adams and Frank Payne. Honorary pall-bearers G. W. Rogers, A. D. Rogers, Frank Johnson, W. H. Parks, E. W. G. Johnson and Odas Hoblett.
