Edmond Mansfield Adams passed away at his home at Route 3, Box 297 on the Thornton road west of Lodi yesterday after a short illness.
A native of St. Joseph, Missouri, where he was born 87 years ago, he came to Lodi 45 years ago after having left St. Joseph at the age of 18. For 40 years he had been a caretaker at the late John Emde's ranch on the Thornton road.
Although he retired from active work last year he was very active up until the time of his death.
Interment in Lodi cemetery.
