Adams, Floyd K., 81, of 447 Gadfield Road died Wednesday afternoon in the Winchester Terrace Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was born 7 Feb 1910 in Mansfield to David and Bessie Miles Adams. He was a member of St Mark's Lutheran Church and lived in Mansfield all his life. Mr Adams worked for 35 years at Mansfield Tire and Rubber Co and drew the "Tire Folks in Ink" for the Mansfield Tire Topics for 25 years. He also owned Adams Carpet Cleaners for many years. He was a 60-year member and past master of Venus Lodge 152, F&AM and a member of Ruth Chapter 17, Order of the Eastern Star. He was also B.P.O. of Elks 56. Mr ADAMS is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen Heuss Adams, one son and daughter-in-law, David Louis and Bonnie L Adams of Naperville, IL; one daughter, Peg Adams of Lynn, Mass; one brother, Barney F Adams of Mansfield; one sister, Mildred Tyson of Mansfield; and two grandchildren, Siri Lynn and Brian David Adams of Naperville, IL. Calling hours will be Monday from 7-9 pm at Finefrock Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 am at Finefrock Funeral Home with The Rev Carl W Cunfer and the Rev Dr Wray C Smith. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
