Mr. Adams was a member of the Conneaut Church of God in Conneaut, Ohio. He also attended the First Assembly of God in Erie. He was a member of Promise Keepers and he helped start the prison ministry at the State Correctional Institution at Albion. He worked at General Electric Co. as an electrician for 30 years. He enjoyed golf and running and had participated in the Boston Marathon. He carried the Olympic Torch in 1996 as it came through Ashtabula County, Ohio. He was a Sunday School teacher for many years and was a past Northwestern Little League coach.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Adams in 1968.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sheila Davis Adams; a daughter, Marsha Stellmach and her husband Dana of East Springfield; a son, Craig Adams and his wife Kelly of West Springfield; a sister, Mrs. James (Ellen) Platz of Conneaut; two brothers, Donald Adams and his wife Vicki of Conneaut Lake, and James Adams and his wife Kay of North East; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Albion Cemetery.
