Mildred moved from Bradenton, Fla., to Vancouver, Wash., in 2008 to be closer to her family and resided at the Waterford at Fairway Village.
She was born on April 7, 1913, in Peoria, Ill., to Ethel D. and Lynn W. Foster.
Mildred graduated from Peoria (Central) High School in Peoria, Ill., in 1930.
She was a lifetime member of Eastern Star for more than 70 years and the P.E.O. Sisterhood, of which she was a member for 69 years, bringing her much pleasure.
While living in Peoria, she was a member and deaconess at First Federated Church.
In 1932, she married Arthur Gray Adamson. They were married for 65 years, prior to his death in 1997 at Freedom Village in Bradenton, Fla.
In 1971, Mildred and Gray moved to Sarasota, Fla. They enjoyed traveling to many interesting places in the world.
Mildred enjoyed entertaining her many friends, sewing and knitting beautiful sweaters for her family.
Mildred is lovingly survived by her daughter, Linda G. Taylor, and son-in-law, Oris W. Taylor Jr. of Rhododendron, Ore.; grandsons, Mark A. Taylor of Vancouver, Wash., and Timothy G. Taylor; and two great-grandsons living in Portland, Ore.
Private interment in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria, Ill., will take place at a later date.
