MOSSVILLE -- Maurice "Mort" Adami, 77, of Mossville died 10:55 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 1999, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
Born June 5, 1921, in Washburn to Albert and Ethel Lesle Adami, he married Jean L. Arbogast on July 6, 1947, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Stephen of Dunlap and Timothy of Sugar Hill, Ga.; two daughters, Carol Sharp of Peoria and Nancy Wagnaar of Manito; one brother, Albert "Buzz" of Peoria; three sisters, Margery Starnes and Rosemary Gerber, both of Peoria, and Shirley Kirby of California; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
He worked for CILCO for 43 years, retiring in 1982 as a supervisor in the gas department.
A World War II Army Air Forces veteran, he was a member and past commander of American Legion Post 1078 in Dunlap.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Prospect Cemetery in Dunlap. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Davison-Fulton Anderson Chapel in Chillicothe.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Susan G. Komen Memorial Chapter of Peoria.
