Lewis Gilbert (Doc) Adair, 55, of 1929 St. Louis St., Fort Worth, died this morning at John Peter Smith Hospital, Fort Worth.
Adair was born in Johnson County, May 14, 1914, the son of James and Lily Foley Adair. He was a Baptist and a veteran of the United States Army who served during World War II.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Geneva Adair of Fort Worth; three brothers, Henry and J.T. Adair of Port Arthur and John Adair of Cleburne; three sisters, Mrs. E.W. Wells of Port Arthur, Mrs. W.C. Todd of Rio Vista and Mrs. B.F. Dyer of Cleburne.
The funeral service will be Sunday, 2 p.m., in the chapel of Dillon-Emmert Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Clanton officiating. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park.
