Stella Eva Acy age 96, died on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Golden Age Nursing Home of heart failure.

She was born on May 23, 1917 to the late John and Mary (Carroll) Winters in Sunflower County and resided in Black Hawk. She attended Black Hawk Public School and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Carroll County. She worked at Baldwin Piano for a number of years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Grady Acy and 2 sons Joe Acy, Sr, and Bobby Acy and a grandson Daniel Acy.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 25, 2013, 12 p.m. to 2p.m. at the Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 2:30p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Black Hawk, MS with the Rev. Larry Edwards and Rev. David Haggerty officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Stanley Acy, Jason Acy, Colt Acy, Gareth Acy, Jared Acy, Reggie Tackett and Randy Tackett.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, Percy and Lillian Daves, Loretta Acy, Linda Diane Johnson, and Freda Acy.

She is survived by daughter Delores Tackett of Greenwood, MS, three sons Billy Acy of Greenwood, MS, Jerry Acy of Madison, MS and Larry Acy of Black Hawk, MS. Two brothers George Winters of Pascagoula, MS and J.C. Winters of Ruth, MS, two sisters Myrtle Nall of Mobile, AL, Thelma Meredith of Clarksdale, MS, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Mt. Olive Cemetery Fund, 6587 County Rd. 23, Coila, MS 38923.
