One of Grant County's pioneer mining men, Alcario T. Acuna, 74, died last Friday at Hillcrest Grenal Hospital, after a brief illness. He was a member of the well-known Acuna family and had been engaged for many years in mining operations at Tyrone. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ramona Acuna; two sons, Edward and Eddie, of Los Angeles, and five daughters, Mrs. Ethel B. Waters, Mrs. Albert Carrillo, Mrs. Jose Garica, and Mrs. Hope Garcia, of Silver City and Mrs. John Rodriguez of Las Angeles; 29 grand children's. Rosary services were held at the Cox Mortuary chapel Monday evening followed by requiem high mass at St. Vicente de. Paul Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Burial was in Silver City Catholic cemetery.
