Rebekah "Bekah" Acorn, 17, of Evansville, died Monday, July 17, 2006.
Bekah attended Harrison High School, where she would have been a senior this year. She was a member of the JROTC at Harrison.

She loved people and enjoyed animals, dancing and swimming.

Bekah was preceded in death by her grandfather, Delbert Burkes; grandmother, Pauline Roberts; grandfather, Charles Russell Acorn; and cousin, Alan Arnn.

She is survived by her mother, Nancy (Burkes) Acorn; father, Steven Acorn and stepmom, Thia of Newport News, Va.; sister, Sharlamain Althaus of Tacoma, Wash.; brother, Steven Acorn; sister, Christina Steel and husband, Terry, of Virginia Beach, Va.; brothers, Ian Acorn and Steven Tyler Acorn and sister, Erica Cordell all of Newport News, Va.; uncle, Delbert and aunt Connie Burkes of Hobart, Ind.; aunt, Debbie and uncle Kevin Ormonde of Bakersfield, Calif.; aunt, Lorri Price; aunt, Gena K. VandeVander; great-aunt, Elizabeth Durbin; grandmother, Vella VandeVander; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Alexander East Chapel, with burial at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
