As a teen, she cleaned houses for $3.00 a week. $2.00 went to the family and $1.00 went for the streetcar. Obituary: Bertha M. Leinweber, born November 30, 1912, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the age of 95. Mrs. Leinweber was born in Converse, Texas and was a lifetime resident of San Antonio. Her husband John A. Leinweber, and sisters Hulda Gordon, Willie Epp, May Barthelme and Lillian Pegg preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter Betty Jean Zigmond-Dakin-Charo and husband Frank; son John A. Leinweber and wife Darlean; sister Elsie Sibley; brother Martin Ackermann and wife Natalie; grandchildren Connie and David Benfer, Brenda and John Blount, Shelly Zigmond, Alfred and Charlane Zigmond, Cheryl and Mark Dumoit, John and Johanna Zigmond, Mark Leinweber, and Jill and David Freeman; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
