Fay F. Ackerman, 83, of Cheyenne, died July 15 at United Medical Center-West in Cheyenne.
He was born Aug. 31, 1922, in Van Tassel.
Mr. Ackerman was a milkman for Meadow Gold Dairy.
He married Ella McNary on July 21, 1976, in Cheyenne. Married Dorothy Ann Ferry in 1946 and had three children
Mr. Ackerman was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of VFW Post 4343.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Richard Ackerman of Cheyenne; a daughter, Sharon Kelley of Cheyenne; a stepdaughter, Linda Brunner of Cheyenne; two stepsons, Gregory and Douglas Randles of Las Vegas; a sister, Betty Lack of Casper; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ackerman was preceded in death at birth by a son, John Wayne Ackerman.
