Funeral Services for Catherine Scrivens Ackerman of 429 Lincoln Ave., Wyckoff, wife of Ivan V. Ackerman, were held Tuesday at the Almgren Funeral Home, 336 Broadway, Paterson. The Rev. Newell C. Grimes, pastor of the Church of the Messiah, Wyckoff, of which Mrs. Ackerman was a member, officiated. Interment was in the Wyckoff Cemetery.
Mrs. Ackerman died Friday night (10 Jul 1959) at Paterson General Hospital after a long illness. Born in Little Falls, she was the daughter of Mary Daly Scrivens, and was 51 years of age.
An employee of the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company in the Paterson office for several years, she was assistant chief operator at the time of her death. Her husband is superintendent of schools of Totowa Borough.
Surviving are her husband and mother; a daughter, Mrs James (Muriel) Patton of Wyckoff; two sons, Ivan V. Jr., who is with the U.S. Navy and Roger G., a student at Rutgers University; five grandchildren; three brothers, William of Paterson, Charles of Haledon and Raymond of San Francisco and two sisters, Mrs. John (Marie) Porter of Paterson and Mrs. Irene Farquhar of Brigintine.
