Daughter of Henry Dearborn Acker and Elizabeth Cox. Both her parents were born in Anderson District, South Carolina. Her death certificate gives her birth date as November 1, 1839. The 1900 and 1920 census shows her as Demarius. After the death of her husband, she lived in the Talladega/ Blue Eye area with her sister, Mary C. Fall, for a while, and with various nieces and nephews (Crow and McCain families).
