Carol Ann (Pevornik) Acey, 65, of Somerset, passed away Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, in Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born Nov. 19, 1944, in Detroit, Mich., she was a daughter of the late Paul T. and Anna (Leshow) Pevornik. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald P. Pevornik. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Russell Acey; son, Christopher Acey and wife, Mandy, of Somerset; granddaughters, Samantha and Sophia Acey; and sisters, Beverly Pevornik, of Jeannette, and Barbara Monstrola and husband, Thomas, of Jeannette. Carol is also survived by her close uncle, Gene Acey, of Scottdale; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Carol was a longtime employee of Coleman/Fleetwood Folding Trailers and more recently worked at Hampton Inn in Somerset. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 1801 and St. Peter's Church in Somerset. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at MILLER FUNERAL HOME, Somerset, where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 1:45 p.m. Thursday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Peter's Church with Father Daniel O'Neill as celebrant. Interment in Scottdale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes at 1275 Mamaronek Ave., White Plains, NY 10605.
