Nelia A. LaBarge- of Hinsdale, NH passed away peacefully on October 3, 2013 at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital with her husband, children, sisters, and mother at her side. Nelia was born in Madiera, Portugal on January 28, 1960 to parents Joao de Abreu and Maria C. Abreu.
Nelia's family moved to the United States in 1968 and settled in Woburn, MA where she attended and graduated from Woburn Memorial High School in 1979. Nelia married Larry LaBarge on September 22, 2012 in York Maine at the Nubble Lighthouse. Nelia worked for Bascom Family Farms for the last twelve years as the supervisor at the maple candy production facility on Cotton Mill Hill in Brattleboro, VT. Nelia loved spending time with her family- they were most important to her. Nelia loved to listen to her husband Larry sing and play guitar. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs Tally and Ringo. She also enjoyed dancing, gardening, camping, campfires, and the great outdoors - and "twosies."

Nelia is survived by her husband Larry LaBarge of Hinsdale, NH, her daughter Kattie Russ of Brattleboro VT, her son Colby Harris of Hinsdale NH, her son Steven Freckleton Jr. of Hinsdale, NH, and her mother Maria C. Abreu of Woburn, MA. Nelia also leaves behind her grandchildren; Jadeyn Russ, Bentley Freckleton, and Mia Freckleton, and soon-to-be-born Lukas Iroc Freckleton. Nelia is also survived by her sisters Rose Soares of Providence, RI, Angie Anderson (husband Sonny) or Salem, NH, and Delfina Pappas (husband Robert) of Woburn, MA. Nelia is also survived by her In-Laws David and Elizabeth LaBarge of Hinsdale, NH, and sister-in-law Kim Elmore (husband Patrick) as well as several nieces and nephews, friends, and amazing people. Nelia is predeceased by her father Joao de Abreu, brother Joao Carlos Abreu, and sister Maria Isabel Abreu. A Memorial/Celebration of Life will be at the First Congregational Church of Hinsdale, NH at 1pm on Saturday October 12, 2013.
