Herbert D. Abramson, age 84, a resident Atkinson for the last 28 years, died the morning of June 19, 200, at his home.
The son of Benjamin and Helen Anna Abramson, he was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, where he grew up and graduated from Lowell High School.
During WWII, he served in the U.S. Army Combat Engineers and the Army Air Corps. After attending Boston University, Mr. Abramson spent most of his early adult years living in Medford, Massachusetts. He ran a family jewelry business, Gem Jewelers, in Davis Square, Somerville for over 25 years.
